Autodesk Store Sponsors IGVC Team

We are very pleased to announce a new sponsorship with the Autodesk Store. Their financial contribution to our team will be extremely valuable in helping us to be able to afford new equipment for working on Navi and other projects that the student branch holds.

The Autodesk Store is most well known for their products AutoCAD, 3ds Max, and Maya which are used in engineering and academia for 3d modeling and design.

We would like to thank Autodesk Store for this sponsorship which helps to allow us to work on cool projects and gain valuable experience!

Big Things are Happening at IEEE - Welcome Back!

I hope everyone enjoyed their break and is ready to start doing some cool stuff with IEEE this semester. Our first meeting this semester will be Tomorrow, Jan. 23rd at 8pm. The biggest news for us this semester is our new meeting space which will take place downstairs in EE-004. The department has given us a new workshop for us to tinker with our robots and we would like to thank the department for our 10x increase in space! Make sure to come for pizza and drinks as well.

The next subject of interest is that we will be giving out 20 free national IEEE memberships this semester so if you're interested in becoming a member for the first time now is the time to do it.

Lastly, all of the parts for the line following robot have come in and we have 25 kits available for $70 each, if you have your own arduino, you can purchase the kit for $48.

So come by to the meeting tomorrow and find out all the other cool stuff we're doing this semester.

Navi Takes 2nd Place in Overall Design Challenge!

It is with great pleasure to announce the results of our efforts at the 2012 IGVC, Navi was awarded 2nd place in the overall design challenge! This is a huge improvement over last year, where Navigator came in 3rd place of our design group.

We would like to thank all of our sponsors and everyone who has helped us along the way. Planning for 2013 IGVC is to begin shortly.
